Admission Process for B.Ed. Program

The B.Ed. program at Namrup College of Teacher Education follows a structured and transparent admission process. Below are the key steps:

  1. Application Submission: Candidates must submit their completed application form before the deadline. Applications can be accessed online through our official website or in person at the college.
  2. Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET): Candidates must appear for the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Dibrugarh University. The test assesses candidates’ aptitude and readiness for the program.
  3. Merit-Based Selection: After the CET results, candidates are shortlisted based on their scores and previous academic performance.
  4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will need to submit required documents for verification, including educational certificates, identity proof, and other supporting documents.
  5. Final Admission: After document verification, selected candidates will be notified for final admission and registration into the B.Ed. program.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed. Admission

Candidates wishing to apply for the B.Ed. program at Namrup College of Teacher Education must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have at least 50% marks (in aggregate) in either the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, Humanities, or Engineering/Technology. For candidates specializing in Science and Mathematics, a minimum of 55% is required.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between the ages of 21 to 35 years (age relaxation as per government norms).
  • Reserved Categories: Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination is available for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories.
  • B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (B.Ed CET): Candidates must clear the B.Ed CET conducted by Dibrugarh University to be eligible for admission.
